I would like to make a website called "Little Blue Rolodex". Legally, can I use the word Rolodex in my name or does that become an infringement/copyright issue?
Many thanks!
It could easily become a trademark issue if the owners of the Rolodex mark objected. You would be well advised to seek a license from them.
As a Franchise Attorney I have to agree with the other attorney answer. It would be like calling your website "Little Blue McDonalds." Watch out! The big, brand names don't like you infringing on "their" marks, even if the use is in a totally different industry. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
