Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Hello! I am a multimedia specialist who does this as a professional hobby. I have on my website a notice that says I do not have a refund or return policy for deposits or finalized content. I recently booked a wedding where complications surfaced on my end due to workers not being available etc. I received a deposit and the client is saying I will be hearing from his lawyer. What will happen? Can I be sued since I clearly on my website have a no refund notice. Also on receipt it says any questions about this receipt visit my website or email. I am not a registered company, this is only a professional hobby / freelancer. The client did not ask about notice...

So, you want something for nothing. This is not how things work: you don't get paid for not performing regardless of what's on your website.

If what you are saying is that you took their money but then did not provide the services they paid for, then of course they can sue you irrespective of what it says on your website.
