Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Received mail from ny state taxation and finance

I recently started a corporation in January. Today my registered agent forwarded mail from the state to me. This form is asking for my FEIN, number, mailing address, etc etc simple stuff I got that part.

However at the bottom it talks about business tax accounts with identification numbers other than the FEIN. Such as sales and use tax id number and withholding tax id number.

What are they talking about and how would I be able to get those set up?

Also it says use your FEIN or the temporary ID they have supplied if you don't have a FEIN yet to apply for your sales and use tax certificate of authority. Can any of you send me the link to apply for this? I would really appreciate it since I cannot seem to find it.

For state Sales tax id application:

www.tax.state.ny.us/pdf/2004/st/dtf17_804.pdf

you also need an EIN (Employer Identification Number) from the IRS,

fill out:

https://sa.www4.irs.gov/sa_vign/newFormSS4.do

and call 1800 829-4933 to get the EIN
