Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

the admisability of tape recorded conversations

Can you tell me if a tape recorded conversation between three people is admisable in New York State Civil cases when two of the three parties were aware of the conversation being recorded? If yes can you tell me what law pertains to this topic?

Thank You,

Confused

Re: the admisability of tape recorded conversations

If there is no expectation of privacy the recording should be admissable; when something is not private, or "one on one" generally in a civil case it should be admissable, but not necessarily as proof of the conversation but to impeach a witness who lies about it.
