Can an employer pay an employee a lesser salary for the same job if one has a college degree and one only has a high school dipolma.
When the job only required that you have a high school education.

An employer may pay a different salary to each employee doing the same job as long as the proffered reason for doing so is not a reason outlawed by federal or local laws or barred by contract, such as, a labor union agreement. In your case, if your only claim is have more education than your comparitor, you have no case but a complaint to your supervisor. Good luck.
