defamation of character
In a civil prosecution, how many years can you go back to prosecute for defamation of character. Also what is the legal term for obtaining information in an illegal manner (ie getting someone drunk, and getting them to answer questions they would not normally have answered and then using the information inappropriately.

Defamation has a one year statute of limitations from the date of first publication.
Is the word you are looking for "coerce?"
