Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

I currently have a grand larceny case going on with the DA(I AM THE VICTIM)Long story short, I got a large settlement from a malpractice suit of which my sister was appointed to be my guardian. I would not be able to touch the money until the age of 18. My sisters duties were to hand the information to me and I WOULD BE ABLE TO HAND THE CHECKS OVER TO ME(ITS IN LEGAL SURROGATES COURT DOCUMENTS). INSTEAD SHE DECIDED TO CASH IN ABOUT HALF OF THE CHECKS TOTALING IN THE SUM OF 518,000.00.( ALL CHECKS WERE MADE OUT TO ME!) This case is a piece of cake compared to the maddoff case but I keep getting idiotic people from the DA office on my case, and the fact that its the Brooklyn DA really isnt helping! This is the 3rd person on my case, and she's supposedly a senior ada, thats hard to believe being that she continues to ask me about irrelevant things pertaining to the case. Its seems like she's having a problem comprehending simple information!!! AND IS FRUSTRATING! I am in no financial position to get a civil lawyer to pursue the me getting some kind of money from sister through her assets. I AM BROKE! And she knows it but i have yet to find a lawyer with a heart in nyc and i have yet to get some kind of push with this case with the DA. They are not treating me like a victim. They have been feeding me crap for a year!!! I have sent complaints to bloomberg & the left messages for the HEAD ADA'S! what can i do to get some justice! Im also interested in making this a high profile case! Because realistically this woman was able to forge almost 600,000.00 worth of bank checks!!!!! WHAT CAN I DO! i HAVE A CHILD ON THE WAY AND I AM SUFFERING FINANCIALLY!

I am a former Brooklyn DA and can say from experience that there are good ADAs and bad ADAs like every other profression. I think you need to stay on top of the DAs office in making sure that justice is served and request that any resolution to the criminal case include restitution [paying back the money that was stolen from you] Finding an attorney with a heart is not the answer as there are many attorneys with big hearts who cannot possibly maintain a profitable business and help everyone wronged by the system
