Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Literary Rights

I am an ex-manager of a major corporation. I was laid off after 18 years under a massive reduction in force. However, the real reason I was laid off was due to retaliation and the force reduction was used as an excuse. I have further details for any attorney who wants to know.

MY CONCERNS: I am planning to write a book about what happened to me (ie. how I was retaliated against, etc.).

In this writing I am giving my views of how I see what happened (since I have no CONCRETE proof that I was terminated as a result of retaliation).

Can I use the name of the company, employees names, etc. in my book without any legal repercussion?

I have seen other books where companies and people are named so I am assuming that it is okay. Any advice will be helpful. Any literary legal services will also be considered by me. Thank you. Please reply to [email protected]
