Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

What records are required in a Motor vehicle injury case ?

Dear sir/madam,

I am the victim/plaintiff of an accident case. Recently there will be another trial on my case. What I would like to know is the nature of the MEDICAL RECORDS REQUIRED for the case. Is it ONLY the accident-related injuries (mental and physical) records? Or ALL MY MEDICAL RECORDS, including accident-unrelated and irrelevant records (ie. personal medical history, such as AIDS,mental history)...etc???

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Re: What records are required in a Motor vehicle injury case ?

All medical records that are related to the accident and can have some bearing on your injuires are discoverable. Onle those medical records that are "relevant," that is, can have some connection to your alleged complaints can be used at trial. More is discoverable than usable at trial.
