Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Judgement gone uncollected

In 1995 I received a judgement for back due rent against tenants I had evicted. At that time I filed it in the town in which they resided. I want to know if I am still able to collect on this judgement or did it expire because I did not refile it every year?

Re: Judgement gone uncollected

A judgment is good for 10 years and needs to be renewed to be valid for another 10 years.
