Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Lien bank account

I once gave my personal check to pay someone monthly business loan. Now a few months later an attorney locked my account due to that incident, claiming that because next to the heading of (where my name is) was pen written the name of that persons business (for whom I lend the money). How do I unlock my account? I have nothing to do with that business.

You need to file a show cause order to release the account. Your papers must contain your valid reasons for having the account released. Call your local civil court for further instructions or contact a lawyer.
