Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

Repossession

The lien holder of my car is trying to repossess it but i don't have the car. I'm trying to get the money together to pay it off, but I need a couple of more weeks. On three different occassions tow trucks have come to get the car. What, if any, recourse do I have. What can I expect to happen? I live in Pennsylvania but I work in New York.

Re: Repossession

If they cvannot find the car, they cannot repo it.

Get your money together ASAP and pay it off.

Good Luck

Re: Repossession

Well, obviously if the trucks keep coming to take the car, and the car's not there, they can't take it. Let them keep coming. They need something to do.

Pay it off at your earliest opportunity.
