15 year old charged with petit larceny

can the childs father represent the child in family court?The father is not a lawyer but feels he can better defend his son than the court appointed assistant public defender.

I agree totally with Ms. Masters.

Just to add to her answer, the court will not allow the father, who is not a lawyer, act as a lawyer to defend his son.

The child should have a lawyer of his own.

Although he will not have a criminal record, he could be locked up for his behavour.
