Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
if my boyfriend was accused of assualt in the first degree but i have talked to the victim who just came out of surgery and assures me that my boyfriend was not the one who assualted him, what can i do? do i have to wait till the court date for the victim to say it was not my boyfriend?

You should get a written statement from the victim and give it to your boyfreinds lawyer. Then he should demand a felony hearing
