Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I didn't do my community service as part of my ACD for a Petit Larceny charge... Judge gave me an extension to get the community service done and said if i don't do it this time, he'll make me stand trial for Petit Larceny. Can he do this? If so, how much jail time am i looking at?

Were you to go to trial and be convicted you could be sentenced up to one year, do the community service, the other way could bring you a lot of grief. The judge could and would probably do what he threatened, be wise, do the darn community service!
