Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

hi, i found two of my credit cards were charged on-line. i called the merchants and they told me the recipient was my roomate who's also my landlord, and the address was our add. btw, i didn't have a key to my room; she didn't give me since i moved in. i told her what happened and she totally denied it was she. later i found the stuffs she bought in her room. and days later she told me it was her friend who has a copy of our keys and he's gonna pay me back the money, but in the future. in the meantime my banks all refunded me the money back on my cards already. so my question is, what i'm gonna do? report to the police and let them figure it out? or accept the money she or her friend give me back?

Move out - immediately- and inform your bank of what you know about the theft and file a police report; otherwise, there is a possibility that you may become immersed in a claim of credit card fraud.
