Re: Immigration and Federal Conspiracies

Based on what you have written, it is not fully clear what the judge has requested. The judiciary and immigration are two completely different branches within the overall government. Additionally, the judge may have specific justifications for requesting your father to remain in the U.S. You should seek information from your father's attorney. If your father does not have an attorney and my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.

Re: Immigration and Federal Conspiracies

It is common for judges presiding over criminal cases to restrict a defendant's travel for fear that the defendant will flee to avoid prosecution. That is likely the judge's concern regarding your father, particularly if he is not a United States citizen. If your father is not a citizen, he may face problems with Homeland Security regardless of the crimnal accusation. Of course, if he is convicted of the conspiracy, his problems will multiply rapidly. It is essential that your father have a good lawyer to protect his interests.
