Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

if a person get indicted on charges in the county, then once they become a state inmate, is the state allowed to indicate other stipulations on the inmate? could an imate appeal something that the state puts on them?

Generally all the court does is to set the amount of time on the inmate. Thereafter, the prison sets the rules, as long as the rules are reasonable. If not the inmate can appeal to the Supreme Court in the county where the prison is located. However the prison has very wide latitude.
