Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

SHould I plead Guilt or not Gulity

recieved ticket for possession of marijuana. Do not want this on my record, should I plead guilty or not guilt? What is the possible outcomes for each. If pleading Not guilty, even if I am obviously guilty will they reduce to a lesser charge? This happened in Baldwinsville, New York not sure of what action this court usually takes

You should consult with an attorney before appearing in this matter. If the amount of marijuana is under the weight allowed then the matter will be adjourned in contemplation of dismissal under Criminal Procedure Law �170.56 but if it is over you will be charged with a very high charge and will need an attorney.

Either way I would retain counsel.
