Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

How serious is Summons for urinating in Public under 153.09 Health code?

Hi.

I was issued a summons for urinating in public in Manhattan under health code 153.09.

Police officers told me that it was not serious and will not show up in my record if I go to court on time and pay a fine.

I wanted to know if this was the case.

Thank you.

I don't like to make predictions over the internet, however it appears the officer was truthful. If you would like further clarification please call my office @ 7188340087 for a free phone consultation.

There is a distinct difference between a crime and a violation, both of which are handled in criminal court. A violation is on par with a speeding ticket, or any other moving violation, which does not create nor add to a criminal record...

Ensure you show up at all appearances or otherwise a warrant for your arrest may, and likely will, be issued.

Fele free to contact me for further assistance if you would like, but it seems like you may not need to retain a private attorney on this matter.2127098303
