Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
theft
I live in a HUD housing complex. My granddaughter left her bike out on the lawn. Management of the building took the bike 3 days ago, did not notify me about it and refuses to return the bike. Does this fall into nys penal codes 155.25 or 165.40?

Re: theft
It sounds more like a conversion which is a civil case. I would suggest you contact the police. The crime if any is theft. It falls under Article 155.
