Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Theft?

HI! I received a large order, vis UPS, of unordered merchandise from Yankee Candle. The next day, YC called me to demand I return the merchandise. They told me that an employee had put in a web order without paying for it and had sent the merchandise to me. They accused me of working with this employee to defraud the company and told me I could be prosecuted for selling stolen goods. IS this true?

I believe the empolyee can be prosecuted. I dont understand why he would send the candles to your house. That would be a very interesting question to a jury. Please call my office and we can further discuss.
