Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Thieft

My sister was called into work today by her boss because they were''short handed''. When she got to work there were N.Y. State police investigators at her work when she got there. They went through her purse with a UV light looking for some kind of powder that was put on some money that was stolen. Now tomorrow they want her to answer more questions what are her legal rights and what would you recommend?

Re: Thieft

She has veery right to refuse to answer questions, she should seek an attorneys help on something like this because the police tend to push and keep pushing in situations like this...

a refusal to answer questions, however, may push into an arrest if not carefully done...

feel free to contact my office for a free telephone consultation at 212.709.8303

Your sister should hire a lawyer and not say anything until she has a chance to consult with her lawyer.
