Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I got a trespassing summons in NYC. I was leaving an apartment that my friends and I went to and when I left I got a little lost and ended up in the courtyard of the building, which was closed at the time. Two police officers saw me and stopped me and then gave me the summons. I've never been arrested before or been to court. The only thing I have ever gotten was a speeding ticket. What are my options?

Don't panic but you need to take this seriously as a criminal conviction can affect your ability to secure financial aid for college or get a job later in your career.

The bright side is that these matters can almost always be resolved with a single court appearance and without great cost to you.

If you'd like to discuss your options and receive a fee quote for representation, you can contact my office via email.

The facts are a bit sketchy, however ,it is not quite so serious. You were not arrested nor fingerprinted, so matters such as yours will likely be resolved without any permanent damage to your record. For more info please contact my office @ 718-834-0087 for a free phone consultation.
