Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Unlawful Vehicle search

Earlier tonight, I was pulled over for

''not using my turn signal''. After

being pulled over, three cops surrounded my vehicle. I had one

friend in the back and another friend

in the passenger seat. The cop asked

for license and registration, then

asked me to step out of the car. He

asked why I was shaking and why

my friend was turning around in the

back. Well, we were both nervous.

He then searched me without asking,

and continued to search both my

friends out of the car. After we were

all searched, two cops jumped in the

car and began to search my car.

Then they found a small amount of

marijuana and immediately put us in

handcuffs and arrested us. They also

never read us our rights or gave us a

valid reason for suspicion. We spent

5 hours in a cell, and finally released

with a court date. I would like to

know if what happened with the

search and us being arrested was

legally done???

Re: Unlawful Vehicle search

There may be problems with the search ,at least that of the passenger and the car. I need much more information before advising further. You may contact my office @7188340087 to set up a consultation.
