If someone is incarcerated, serves their time and is released, is it possible for the authorities to lock you back up for something you did prior to your incarceration?

Re: A warrant

If it was unrelated and not covered by the prior case for which they were incarcerated the answer is usually yes. There may be certain exceptions to this (such as the authorities knowing about a warrant while the individual was incarcerated but not producing him or her etc) and you would need to consult with a criminal defense attorney to go over the specific facts of the case.
