Re: how do i about this

Itis likely that the police took your rent money as proceeds of a crime. They were wrong to take it given the charge. They may seek forfeiture of the funds.

If you are saying that the money was stolen from you by a police officer then that is a different question which would require you to make a civilian complaint.

Finally if the city refused to pay you when they fired or suspended you, then that is a labor issue and needs to be addressed in a proper venue.

Whatever the issue, you should not act on your own as anything you say could affect not only your criminal case but your employment future.

Get to a good criminal lawyer and let him or her handle the complete package of issues for you.

If you don't have a lawyer and wish to speak to me about your case, then you may reach me through the information provided below 24/7/365. My office handles many misdemeanors and forfeiture issues.

Good luck.

I am not sure what you mean when you say "they took my rent money" but regarding defending you on the possession charge and the prospects of keeping your job, you may call my Brooklyn office for an in-depth consultation.
