Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New York

Am I being discriminated because of sex or race?

I am the only female among 8 men. I have a new manager that is real a problem. It started off with him talking down to me. Then when my evaluation was due he was allowed to make comments, he had been with the Co. for 2 mnths. My manager's supervisor greed that any comments made could be adjusted. The manager did not agree, & he tried to make me sign the evaluation with missing sections. He refused to give me a copy. He was advised to give me a copy, he did but not completed. While the 2 of us were in a mtg. he became hostile & he tried to take my copy of the evaluation. When I refused he left the mtg. His Director approved my evaluation & processed my merit increase.

Other occasions of being mistreated, I submitted approval for training courses that were advised to me by the Director. After submitting requisition for approval, it mysteriously disappeared. My manager suggested that I reapply in 6 months. Of course I did and it disappeared again.

Each time he delays my merit increase by holding up approved paperwork. Is this discrimination?

Yes. See a good New York lawyer. This guy is destroying your career path and making you a very hostile work environment. He is violating all known local and state anti discrimination laws and if the company is big enough, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended.
