Legal Question in DUI Law in New York

Charged with DWI

My friend was charged with a DWI she was a point over the legal limit and was just running to the store after having two beers. Her lawyer said there is a new law in Albany County and there is no way to get it reduced or dropped past a DWAI. If she is charged with either she will losr her job. Is there any way around this at all?

Find a very competent, experienced DUI/DWI attorney to take the case to trial and create reasonable doubt. Many attorney's routinely plead these cases out.To go to trial is costly but in this case it may be worth it.View my site nydrunkdrivingdefense.com

It's not a new law. It's a policy in the prosecutor's office. We can fight a case like this and in many cases get it dismissed. I think you're saying her BAC was 0.09. That's a very good case to fight. However, we charge $5000 up front to fight a DWI and that does not include trial (trials are rare).
