Legal Question in Elder Law in New York

fraud

my mother is 91 years old. she was given a 30 year mortgage at 9.6%. her total household income is one third of the loan payment. the mortgage company changed her age, they wrote that she was employed and they lied about her income. I feel this is a crime to an elderly woman. she was robbed! but instead of being robbed at gunpoint, she was robbed with fast talk and greed which is just as bad. Julia has lived in her home for 60 years only now to be cast to the street. this is not right what they did! I would like to know if there is someone who can help her. She doesn't have any resources for an attorney. but if these people involved can be charged with the crime they committed to her, Julia and her representation should come away happy.

Re: fraud

Unfortunately no lawyer is going to take this case. I think you should have stepped up to the plate to help before your mother lost her home.

Good luck.
