Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York

Minors in band

I am active in a band. We sometimes play where liquor is being served. Are there age restrictions for the members of the band? for example...can a member of the band be 16 and play in the band? can they be 18? 20? thank you for your time.

Re: Minors in band

There is no legal restiction restricting the band member from playing in such an establishment, but he cannot drink alcohol there. If he is served alcohol in such an establishment, the owner could lose his liquor license and/or be fined or jailed.
