Legal Question in Entertainment Law in New York

Rights to produce score/soundtrack for Movie

I have a book that I want to translate into a screenplay once that is complete, I would like to somehow contractually tie in doing the soundtrack and/or score for the film if it is picked up. How do I negotiate something like that?

I practice entertainment law and can help you in these negotiations. It will all depend on who you hope to work with and where. I have access to musicians and music writers here in the New Orleans area through my music co-publishing & administration company, IPMarshal.com for example.
