Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have had a bad past with my son's father and now he's moving near where I live. Do I have any recourse?

More information is needed. A bad past doesn't mean anything under the law.

Is there a history of proven violence? Is there a restraining order? What type of bad past (provide specific facts).
