Legal Question in Family Law in New York

child support - arrears

I was court ordered to pay until she was 18, but was made to pay until she was 21. She has reached 21. Now the arrears are way above my payment means what should I do.

Re: child support - arrears

The final termination of child support is at age 21, unless the child is emancipated by marriage, a full time job, joining the armed services, etc.

How much arrears do you owe?

WE may be able to negotiate a settlement of the arrears, and/or lower the amount that you have to pay per pay period.

Please contact me, so that we can discuss the matter further
