child support

if a support collection unit is sopose to monitor & collect funds, can they be sued for not doing their job by letting the amount owed in back child support exceed 40,000.00? Just what is their responsiblity to their clients & can they be held responsible?

Certainly the government may be held responsible for misappropriating or not forwarding money collected. However, I don't think you can hold the unit responsible for forcing payment by the non-custodial parent. You are better off filing a petition with the family court.
