Legal Question in Family Law in New York

child support

I have been paying child support for a child that lives with me and i have full custody of. They take money out of my check every week and take my taxes every year . Child support is money used to support a child. In this case they are taking my money so I am unable to support my child. Is there anything I can do?

Re: child support

If you have full custody, you'll need to return to court to have the support order modified to end your payment, and to recieve payment from the other parent.

The new order is effective the date you file, so you need to take care of this ASAP.
