Legal Question in Family Law in New York

cited cases in legal documents

I wanted to look up the cases that my x's attorny cited in their counter claim. I have the name and case ID numbers. where do I go to read about the decisions of thoses cases cited?

There is, almost certainly, a law library at the "County Courthouse", which is usually in the county seat {the library might be in a different building, but usually the same town/village/city that is the county seat.}

Call your County Clerk's office - - they can tell you.

If there is a "bigger" university nearby, they might have the law books, but your best bet is the law library maintained for the court system, generally in the county seat.
