Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I have custody of my son and his mother has visitation. I want to move from NY to another state do I need her permission or can I just move out of state with my son?

You would only be able to move out of state with your son upon your Ex's permission or after securing an order of the court, Be sure to consult an attorney in your area before you attempt to permanently remove your child from the State of New York.
