regarding divorce papers

if i get the divorce papers from the court, do i pay the fees before filing or after filling out and submit to court, in other words do i pay in advance when obatin papers, since i have to conuslt an attorney anyway

It would be helpful if you specify the fee in your question. There is an index number fee. However, this is paid when you file the summons with the clerk. There is also an RJI (Request for Judicial Intervention) fee and a Note of Issue Fee. Each fee is paid before the required document is filed with the Court.
