Elderly couple filing for divorce
My parents who are in their late 70's filed for divorce 1 year ago, it is not final yet. My father is sick and may have to go into a nursing home, will my mom be finacially liable in anyway because the divorce is not final!

By financially liable, do you mean that she would have to pay him support? I am not clear as to what you mean. If he can be financially independent based on, for example a pension plan and retirement accounts, then it is not likely. However, it all depends on the status of the case at this point. Does your mother have an attorney representing in the divorce case? If yes, then you have to ask your mother to direct your question to her attorney.
