My ex-husband owes me over $5,000 is back child support and medical expenses for our 3 children. Unfortunately he passed away in December. Can I look to get paid by his estate?

There are two things you should consider. One is getting the $5,000 from the estate. The other is ensuring that you protect the rights of your children to their father's estate. You didn't state if you've asserted those rights.
