Legal Question in Family Law in New York

my husband and i have been together for 13 years, we have been discussing divorce. i do not have any family in brooklyn and have 3 school aged children and i am currently enrolled in school. my husband is verbally abusive toward me and dont think i can handle staying in the same household with him much longer. my husband refuses to leave the home and i have no where to go with my children. please help.....
