Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I live in NYS and am going thru a divorce. My ex moved out of the town/county where our children live. Is he solely responsible for transporting the children for visitation? The children live with me, go to school here, and my ex wants to see them every other weekend. it is my understanding that the parent who moves is responsible for transportation, is that true?

For now, if he wants to see the children, he will have to pay for it. However, this should be resolved in the custody order to prevent further dispute and problem.

Moreover, if you are going through a divorce, you need a lawyer to help you answer such questions and advise you accordingly.
