Legal Question in Family Law in New York
Paying for College?
In my divorce decree it states child support obligation will continue until the minor child reaches the age of majority if the child has not completed high school support will continue until she graduates high school, or reaches the age of 19, whichever is first. Do I have any legal grounds to make my ex pay 50% of my daughters college? It was not agreed to prior to the divorce, and the decree does say that support will stop by the age of 19.

Re: Paying for College?
No. Unfortunately, based on your question, you do not have legal grounds to force your ex to pay 50% of the college expenses.
