Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If I have to prove my bank statements through a divorce. Is it legal for my sister to send me a Demand Letter for debt amounting to half of my asset and I repay the debt to her account before providing the statements? When would this be legal during a divorce?

It would be seen for what it apparently is: an attempt to defraud the court and your soon to be ex.

If the case has already started, and you have been served with divorce papers, you are subject to an automatic order to freeze all assets and not transfer any money such as you describe. On the other hand, if you do this BEFORE you are served with divorce papers, it may be seen as a fraudulent conveyance made in anticipation of litigation.
