Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Psychotic In-Law

I live in NYC, and across the street from my husband's mother. We chose the area due to the fact that he has young siblings that we are close to, and is a really nice area and next to a huge park. His mother has definate issues and only thinks of herself, and uses her children as pawns in whatever battle she is fighting at the time,(so we play parents from across the way) However we just had our first child, and although we couldn't be happier to have him close to his aunt/uncles I am scared that this woman will do something. Not physically, but she is angry that we don't allow her to see our baby, and I am scared that she is capable of trying to cause trouble with the law for myself or my husband, because of the fact that she has a mouth on her she can make anyone believe anything. Mind you my husband and myself are law abiding in all ways, but the NYPD likes to react first and ask questions later. I need to know if she files a restraining order, and calls my husband to her window and calls the police, can they arrest him. I know this all is very strange, but I don't know what this woman is capable of and fear for my family for the time before we are able to move. also is there anything I can do prior to anything happening?

Plan to move away ASAP.

Do not sacrifice your family's peace, health, care, safety and development under the mistaken belief that you can do anything to control or prempt the "she devil" from across the street from trying to get what she wants, no matter the cost or harm to others.

Trust your instincts and don't entertain the idea of...but "she's a mother" she can't be that bad, that others will recite to you.

Get your husband, child and self out of the line of fire. You can help the other children only if you are standing clear of the cannon balls, that are probably certain to come.

Good luck,
