Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My question is could me or my mother still in some way obtain back child support from my father even though I am an adult?

I know this is a very circumstantial matter so I will provide the details below:

I am currently 20 years of age, turning 21 soon

my mother grew up with my father since they were teenagers, when she was 18 and pregnant with me she found out he had been cheating on her with two other women, one of which had already been in relationships with three of his brothers and was a friend of my mothers, so she left him.

Within a year after I was born he was imprisoned for three years so he never saw me until I was two or three when my mom visited him there. After he got out he disappeared with one of his girlfriends as she went to college, my mom was struggling and filed for child support when she went in for social services. Since he had disappeared, at the time they could not locate him and nothing came of it. Over the next two years if I could even remember every occasion I saw him I could count them on my fingers.

Then he married one of the women he had been cheating on my mom with who had convinced him that I'm not his child and to just move on anyway.

I am definitely his child beyond a doubt since I look just like him, lucky me.

But him being convinced by her kept me from him entirely for 15 years.

Last year my uncle convinced me to allow him to contact me, relatively nothing good came of it, I just got to find out he's a selfish person incapable of doing anything good for anybody but himself. He's a class example of a sociopath, feels like he's never done anything wrong, shifts blame, and manipulates/demands of others. Right now I'm going to college and I'm sick of seeing my mother struggle because of a situation he left her in. In my opinion she is owed damages and then some for pulling he slack in raising and taking care of me. I don't know how the law will see it but please let me know what is possible.

Thank You
