Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Can I get a range of how much does a divorce typically costs at the end of everything including legal expenses and attorney fees if it is contested? Assets include property, car, and child custody. I understand every situation is different but I'd like to know the damage or debt I would carry from this to determine whether it's something I can afford or worth doing. I overqualify for low income legal assistance but don't make a lot of money either. Is a monthly payment possible?

I think that you'll find that fees vary with attorneys and the circumstances of the divorce. You need to find an attorney that you can work with and come to an agreement about the fees.
