Legal Question in Family Law in New York

How can I satisfy the court that I can not serve my husband with divorce papers as he abandoned me and lives somewhere in China? I live in NY.

You would have to file an application with an affidavit demonstrating that the husband's location is unknown, and that his last known location is in China. You will have to be specific concerning where in China. You would then have to make arrangements for publication in China.

This is not easy.
