Separation & medical insurance

I am considering legal separation.My husband is currently covered under my insurance.Would he stay covered from the time that I am legally separated until we are officially divorced?

YES. You are still married even though legally separated.

Yes. And, If you are/were the primary wage earner, and your spouse needs medical treatment for a condition your insurance has been covering, it is possible for the court to order that you will continue to be obligated to pay for, or cover your [Ex]Spouse's health insurance costs.
